Get Your Modem Running: Excelsior-Henderson Hits the Information Superhighway
BELLE PLAINE, Minn.--July 13, 1999--With more and more Excelsior-Henderson(TM)Super X motorcycles rolling into dealer showrooms and onto the real highway, it's only fitting that the Company should ride the virtual highway as well."BigX(TM)" announced this week that its inaugural Web site is now up and running at www.excelsior-henderson.com(TM).
The extensive site is the official place to get the latest news on Excelsior-Henderson -- from motorcycle and accessories information to financial updates, dealer listings and an historic look at this great American brand dating back to 1876. The site is named "THE EXPERIENCE(TM)" and ties in with the traveling motorcycle museum the Company has displayed at major motorcycle rallies the last two years.
In true Excelsior-Henderson fashion, THE EXPERIENCE website looks unlike anything else out in cyberspace. Much like the Super X motorcycle itself, the site is an artful blend of classic style and new technology. The layout has the historic look and feel of a vintage newspaper.
The content includes a close-up look at the 1999 Super X model complete with photos, specifications and descriptions of the craftsmanship and innovation that have gone into the premium-quality cruiser motorcycle. The site includes a "Lifestyle" section with news on upcoming Company events, Super X demo rides, motorcycle rallies and more. Investors also will soon be able to click on a special section for comprehensive financial information on BigX including current stock quotes, stock price history, press releases, analyst listings, information requests and more.
The site goes beyond simply promoting the Excelsior-Henderson brand, it also offers a broad range of content that supports and enhances the American motorcycling experience. For example, the Company has invited Super X owners to send in photos and stories of their own experiences as they head out to see the world on their new cruisers. Excelsior-Henderson plans to pick one entry per month to post on the site.
