Visteon Automotive Systems Building In-Car Multimedia Computer Using e-SIM'S RapidPLUS

PASADENA, Calif.--July 14, 1999--e-SIM Ltd. (AMEX: EIM), formerly Emultek Ltd., a leading provider of advanced simulation technology for the consumer and industrial electronics industry, today announced that Visteon Automotive Systems has completed work on the user interface of its in-car multimedia computer called ICES using RapidPLUS. The computer will provide features such as Internet messaging, GPS navigation, CD and radio operation, and voice recognition. Cellular phones can be hooked up to the device for hands free operation. The deal valued at over $100,000 represents the first stage of an ongoing development agreement with Visteon.
"RapidPLUS represents an advance in accelerating the development of new user-interfaces for emerging in-vehicle technologies," said Adrian Tan, human factors engineer for Visteon. "The tool enables us to better visualize and evaluate alternative user interfaces and simultaneously engineer an optimal interface, in the shortest possible time," Tan added.
