AlliedSignal And Honeywell Set September 1 As Date For Special Shareowners Meetings To Approve Merger
MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. and MINNEAPOLIS--July 12, 1999--AlliedSignal Inc. and Honeywell Inc. announced today that they have scheduled special shareowners meetings for September 1, 1999, to approve the proposed merger of the two companies.The AlliedSignal meeting will be held in Morristown, New Jersey, and Honeywell's meeting will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The record date for determining shareowners entitled to vote on the merger is July 22, 1999. Subject to final clearance of the proxy statements by the SEC, proxy material will be mailed around July 29. In addition to shareowner approval, the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
