    WIXOM, Mich., July 12 -- NMB Technologies Corporation, a
subsidiary of the Minebea Group, will officially open a newly-built Technical
Center in Wixom, Mich., on July 15, 1999.
    The 17,000-square-foot test and analysis facility tests bearing and motor
applications for numerous markets, including automotive.
    The NMB Technical Center is designed to advance the function and
performance of NMB products within customer applications.  It also provides
customers with application-specific validation capability and advanced
technical support and service.
    The NMB Technical Center is strategically located in the hub of the U.S.
automotive industry and in the center of the NMB's North American operations.

Technical Center will help NMB continue our rapid sales growth and increase

    The NMB Technical Center can simulate all environmental and customer-use
conditions, including temperature, humidity, altitude, contamination and
corrosion.
    Additionally, the NMB Technical Center has complete noise and vibration
analysis capability and can evaluate the form, finish and physical attributes
of components.  It can also perform full metallurgical and chemical
assessments.
    NMB's markets include automotive (throttle assemblies, ABS braking
systems, starters, alternators, wiper motors, cooling fan motors), power tool
(drills, sanders, saws), office automation (copy machines, computers,
printers, scanners), general use motor (vacuum cleaners, medical equipment),
data storage (hard disk drives, floppy disk drives, tape drives) and aerospace
(various in-flight applications).
