10 July 1999

HUFFAKER/QVALE TO FIELD A SINGLE CAR AT ROAD AMERICA'S TEXACO/HAVOLINE 200
WEEKEND TRANS-AM

ELKHART LAKE, Wis. (July 9, 1999) — Huffaker/Qvale Motorsports will field a
single Ford Mustang Cobra entry for this weekends Texaco/Havoline 200
BFGoodrich Trans-Am race on Saturday, July 10 at the scenic, 4.048-mile,
14-turn Road America circuit in Elkhart Lake, Wis. Chris Neville, 1998
Trans-Am Rookie of the Year and pole-sitter at this year's Long Beach season
opener, will handle the driving duties.

"We have continued to develop the cars since Mid-Ohio," says Huffaker/Qvale
principal, Joe Huffaker. "We have done additional work on both the front and
rear suspensions. The two cars are now identical. We tested at Thunderhill
just prior to the Road America event, and we will continue to test the cars
after Road America and before the Road Atlanta round."

Huffaker Engineering is rapidly becoming THE place for racers to go for
chassis and suspension updates and modifications. In addition to the two cars
in the Huffaker/Qvale Motorsports stable, Huffaker has done work on the cars
of series points-leader Brian Simo as well as that of front-runner Randy
Ruhlman.

After scoring the pole at Long Beach, Neville went on to post a solid
fourth-place at Mosport in Round Two, behind winner Simo. At Round Three,
Neville swapped the lead with Simo before settling for second place, then
followed that with another podium finish at Mid-Ohio in Round Four, behind
defending series champion, Paul Gentilozzi, and Simo.

"We are very happy with the job that Chris has done for us so far this year,"
said other Huffaker/Qvale principal, Bruce Qvale. "We are working very hard
to keep him in the driver's seat for the rest of the season. Like
Huffaker/Qvale, he is a rising star in this series."
