Dana's Pacer Brake Systems Honored by Civilian Military CouncilPENSACOLA, Fla., July 9 -- Dana Corporation announced today its Pacer Brake Systems division received the 1998 Guard and Reserve Employer of the Year Award honoring a local organization that "goes the extra mile" in supporting the Guard and Reserve program. The award is presented annually by the Armed Forces and Civilian Military Council of the Pensacola Area Chamber of Commerce. Pacer Brake Systems, a manufacturer of hydraulic brake hose, is a division of Dana Fluid System Products, one of the core businesses of Dana's Engine Systems strategic business unit. The Dana division was nominated for the award by Specialist Emily Armstrong, an engineering technician at Pacer Brake, who serves with the 842nd Signal Company stationed in Milton, Fla. "We have four members of the Guard and Reserve working at Pacer and we work with all of them to accommodate time off for their monthly drill periods and annual training," said Michael Morrison, Pacer's plant manager.
