TRW Launches Worldwide Industrial Engineering Consulting Practice

    RESTON, Va.--July 8, 1999--TRW Integrated Supply Chain Solutions (ISCS), a premier global systems integrator, today announced it has formed a new worldwide industrial engineering practice to provide consulting services to the manufacturing industry.
    The global practice will offer customers the appropriate tools, techniques, and methodologies to capitalize on all aspects of their manufacturing processes and realize greater benefits to their bottom line.
    The goal of TRW's industrial engineering service is to drive down product cost and increase clients' market share through maximum utilization of factory resources. Unlike other factory consulting services that focus on specific manufacturing operations, industrial engineering connects and supports all components of the process including facility requirements consulting, manufacturing planning and factory integration.
    TRW will leverage its end-to-end supply chain experience in its industrial engineering offering, providing consulting support from the front-end to the back-end of the factory. Services will include productivity improvements, staff models, factory simulation, discrete event simulation, layouts, training and tool optimization.
