Autoweb.com Signs Two-Year Advertising and Marketing Agreement with America Online
Leading Online Automotive Site Has Significant Presence Across AOL Brands

    SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 6 -- Autoweb.com ,
the leading consumer automotive Internet service, announced today that it had
signed a two-year advertising agreement with America Online, , the
world's leader in branded interactive services, that will provide millions of
AOL and CompuServe members and visitors to AOL.COM and Netscape Netcenter with
direct access to Autoweb.com's extensive online resources.
The agreement gives Autoweb.com an advertising and marketing presence on
AOL, AOL.COM, CompuServe and Netscape Netcenter. With this agreement,
Autoweb.com expects to significantly increase traffic to its extensive
automotive-related products and services, designed to guide consumers through
every stage of vehicle ownership.
"This agreement not only extends our reach to the large base of AOL
members, but also gives Autoweb.com broad reach in selected automotive areas
across AOL brands," said Dean DeBiase, president and CEO of Autoweb.com.
"This added presence is a key component of our overall brand-building strategy
to become the dominant Internet consumer automotive service."
"We are happy to bring Autoweb's automotive products and services to users
of AOL brands," said Greg Shove, AOL's Vice President for Interactive
Marketing. "We think they will offer AOL and CompuServe members and visitors
to AOL.COM and Netscape Netcenter an extremely useful buying and selling
tool."
The new agreement with AOL, in addition to recent alliances with Yahoo!, a
global Internet media company, and HotBot, one of the best-rated search
engines, offers Autoweb.com unparalleled visibility across the Internet.
