Engine Manufacturers Release First Edition of Engine Fluids Data Book
CHICAGO--(AutomotiveWire)--July 2, 1999--The Engine Manufacturers Association (EMA) will release the first edition of the EMA Engine Fluids Data Book. The book contains information on commercially available engine lubricating oils and coolants. Fleet owners, maintenance personnel, local municipalities and private operators use the book as an aid in the selection of engine fluids for their on-highway and off-highway trucks, buses, locomotives and marine vessels.In addition, it will contain data on oils meeting the latest API service category CH-4, as well as oils meeting the recently published EMA Recommended Guideline for oil LRG-1. It also contains a section on engine coolant specifications listing the various ASTM, SAE, military and OEM specifications.
The book is compiled on behalf of the EMA members and their distributors and customers worldwide. Over 100 companies from around the world supplied data on their products for this book. The trade names of the listed products and their performance levels are based on information received directly from the respective suppliers.
