SERVICE TECHNICIANS SOCIETY PUBLISHES AMERICAN IRON - A HISTORY OF THE OHV V8 1949-1961

STS Press has released American Iron - A History of the OHV V8 1949-1961, a special publication that chronicles the introduction of nine significant engines, several of which have achieved historic status. This new book includes a compilation of papers that show the thinking and design that defined the powerplants for a "golden age" of the American muscle car. It is the perfect addition to a car enthusiasts library.

Beginning in 1949 with the groundbreaking Cadillac and Oldsmobile V8s, continuing through the classic Chrysler "Hemi" and Chevrolet V8, and closing with the lightweight Fairlane V8, it provides a unique opportunity to look inside the design process of these engines. The release of this special publication coincides with the 50th birthday of the "American V8."

The 131-page soft bound book (Order No. SS-101) is available through STS for $19.99 with a special STS/SAE member price of $14.99.
