Land Rover Announces Strong June Sales; Land Rover Closes on Best First Half in Company HistoryLANHAM, Md., July 1 -- Land Rover North America, Inc., today reported June sales of 2,645 units, the company's strongest sales month of 1999. Year-to-date sales of 13,562 vehicles marks a nearly 35 percent increase over the same period of 1998 and the best first half in company history. "June is traditionally a good sales month for Land Rover and June 1999 was no exception," said Howard I. Mosher, who was named president of Land Rover North America, Inc., on May 26, 1999. "Our supply issues of earlier in the year have been sorted, so our retailers now have a good supply of vehicles and are able to meet the market's demand for both Land Rover models -- Range Rover and Discovery Series II."
