Productivity Technologies Corp. Reports $7 Million in New Business
    NEW YORK, June 29 -- Productivity Technologies Corporation
, announced today that its operating subsidiary Atlas
Technologies, Inc. has received a Letter of Intent from a major Japanese
stamping press builder for four large destackers totaling more than $7
million.
    The automated handling equipment will feed large sheet metal blanks to
advanced technology vacuum cup feed transfer presses.  These will be used by a
major U.S. based automotive manufacturer for their most critical and demanding
body panel applications, and is a follow-on order to six previously supplied
Atlas units recently installed in North America.
    According to Michael Austin, President and CEO of Atlas, "This is
significant to both Atlas and the auto manufacturer, who is adopting this new
process as a standard practice in their North American operations."
    Atlas, headquartered in Fenton, Michigan is an ISO 9001 registered
producer of stamping press automated systems and equipment for automotive,
appliance, and other manufacturers throughout the world.
