Wireless Phone Users with a Need for Speed Get Real-Time Auto Racing Results from Intelligent Information Incorporated
STAMFORD, Conn., June 28 -- Intelligent Information
Incorporated (III), the pace-setter in developing interactive wireless
portals, announced the addition of real-time race results for NASCAR and other
auto races to its line of sports information services for wireless users.
PCS mobile phone, digital cellular, and pager users can now receive
starting grid results plus real-time, in-race leaderboard updates and final
results for the racing category of their choice. Categories include the
NASCAR Winston Cup Series, Busch Series, and Craftsman Truck Series, plus
Championship Auto Racing (CART), Indy Racing League (IRL), and Formula One.
Racing categories can be changed as often as the subscriber desires.
This is how a sample Auto Racing message looks when delivered to a
wireless phone or pager:

    BUSCH (after 2 of 82 laps): 1. R Fellows 2. R LaJoie 3. D Earnhardt Jr.
4. M Kenseth 5. J Baldwin

"Interest in auto racing, especially NASCAR, has exploded!" said Stephen
G. Maloney, president of III. "We believe that this service will be
indispensable to the growing number of busy fans who have a keen interest in
race results, but who don't necessarily have the opportunity to watch the
races."
III's race results are available to consumers through their wireless
service provider as a value-added service. Results are reported in real-time
to subscribers, delivered as text messages to PCS phones, digital cellular
phones, and alphanumeric pagers.
Intelligent Information Incorporated (III) has created more than
20 interactive wireless portals for major North American wireless carriers and
new media organizations. Founded in 1991, III is the leading provider of
personalized information and consumer e-commerce services to mobile phones,
pagers and palmtops. Customizable text and voice-based services, including
news, sports, weather, traffic, and stock quotes, help wireless carriers
increase revenue and reduce churn. III's services for web sites extend the
sites' presence beyond the time a user spends online and provide a higher
level of "stickiness."
