CASCAR Castrol Super Series Race Report - Cayuga 250 & Bumper to Bumper 150

CASCAR Castrol Super Series East Cayuga 250 / Cayuga Speedway Results NELLES CORNERS, ON - Kerry Micks returned to the CASCAR Castrol Super Series' victory lane with an Eastern tour win at Cayuga Speedway on Sunday afternoon. The Ford Fast Lane Taurus driver started 10th in the field of 38 who started the Cayuga 250, and took the lead on lap 135 of the 250 lap event on the 5/8-mile Hamilton, ON area oval. Finishing second to Micks was Derrick Tiemersma of Newamrket, ON. It was the best career CASCAR finish for the Herbrand Tools Pontiac driver. Ted McIntyre of Windsor, ON was third. The Dodge driver came from the 20th spot on the grid to notch the podium finish. Kim Richard of Calgary, AB was the latest driver to break through to victory lane, at Hythe, by winning the Bumper to Bumper 150 on Saturday night. Richard was dominant after taking the lead on lap 6 of the 150 lap feature. At the checkered flag, the Chevrolet Monte Carlo driver was over five seconds ahead of second place finisher Dan Shirley, of Saskatoon, SK. Third went to Edmonton’s Fred DelPero, who made the first podium appearance of his CASCAR career.
