AlliedSignal Friction Materials Names Gregory Brown

AlliedSignal Friction Materials Names Gregory Brown to Lead Global Original Equipment Business
    TROY, Mich., June 25 -- AlliedSignal Friction Materials, a
$1-billion unit of AlliedSignal Inc. , has named Gregory W. Brown
vice president and general manager of its global original equipment business.
    Brown has more than 12 years of leadership experience in the automotive
industry.  He joins AlliedSignal from Foamex Automotive in Southfield,
Michigan, where he was executive vice president of the automotive supply
business, overseeing five manufacturing plants.
    Brown assumes operational and financial responsibility for the worldwide
original equipment business of AlliedSignal Friction Materials, which designs
and manufactures Bendix(R) and JURID(TM) brake pads, linings and other
components.
    "Greg's extensive experience working with car and truck manufacturers, and
his enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit, make him the perfect choice to lead
our OE business into the future," said AlliedSignal Friction Materials

    Brown previously was vice president, marketing and sales, for Guardian
Automotive Trim, and president of DCT Material Handling Systems, a joint
venture with Daifuku of Japan.  He spent 15 years with General Electric Co.,
in positions including manager, GE Automotive Operation, and program manager
-- Chrysler.  He lives in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
