Textron Automotive Company Celebrates Grand Opening Of DaimlerChrysler Integration and Advanced Technology CentersTROY, Mich., June 24 -- Textron Automotive Company today celebrated the grand opening of its new DaimlerChrysler Integration and Advanced Technology Centers with an open house in Auburn Hills, Michigan, attended by over 300 friends, customers and guests. Accommodating over 250 employees, the 87,000-square-foot building houses Textron Automotive Trim's DaimlerChrysler component and integrated systems design and development, program management and executive staff. The facility is also host to a large cross section of Extended Enterprise personnel including Tier II and Tier III suppliers and DaimlerChrysler employees. In addition, within the adjacent Advanced Technology Center, activities include benchmarking, modeling, computer simulation and design studios. "This new facility and the dedicated team based here demonstrates the commitment that Textron Automotive Company has made as a leader in the Systems Integration process," said Textron Automotive Company Chairman, President and CEO Sam Licavoli.
