Carlisle Appoints Vice President, Taxes

    SYRACUSE, N.Y.--June 24, 1999--Carlisle Companies Incorporated is pleased to announce the appointment of John R. Yonkin to the position of Vice President, Taxes, effective June 21, 1999.
    John comes to Carlisle from Lucas Varity where he was Director of International Taxation. Prior to joining Lucas Varity, John held various tax positions with Carrier Corporation and Price Waterhouse.
    John will be responsible for all aspects of Carlisle's tax function, with an emphasis on tax planning to achieve tax savings and effective tax rate reduction.
    John has a B.S. in Mathematics from Hobart College and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University.
    Carlisle is a diversified manufacturer of products serving four major markets: construction materials, industrial components, automotive components and general industry.
