RESEDA, Calif.--June 22, 1999--Elected officials and community leaders will gather for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of a new Earl Scheib Auto Paint & Body shop on Thursday, June 24.
The new shop is located at 17721 Sherman Way in the city of Reseda, and renovates a previously abandoned building and used-car lot.
"We are proud to welcome a highly regarded national company such as Earl Scheib to our community," said Los Angeles City Councilmember Laura Chick, who represents the West San Fernando Valley. "It is my sincere pleasure to provide more amenities to our residents, and to work with a company that will help contribute to the growth of our local economy."
The opening of the Reseda facility marks the latest addition to Earl Scheib's southern California expansion effort, which totals 15 new locations and includes four new stores in the city of Los Angeles. The company currently owns more than 175 shops nationwide, and plans to open a fifth new Los Angeles location by the end of the year.
"We're excited to bring our services to the West Valley and fill the community's needs," said David Sunkin, Vice President, General Counsel for Earl Scheib. "We enjoy a partnership with the City of Los Angeles, with mutual goals of improving the community, contributing to the local economy and offering quality services to the city's consumers."
Earl Scheib, with headquarters in Beverly Hills, Calif., was established in 1937 and is the world's largest company-owned and operated auto painting and body repair service. It paints more than 150,000 cars and trucks every year and is committed to providing high quality and environmentally responsible automotive paint and body work services at reasonable prices.
Over the past four years, the company has made a dedicated effort to transform its existing locations to reflect the image of "The New Earl Scheib." Using the industry's leading technologies such as Euro-Paint(R) and the Infrared Quartz Finish Dryer, Earl Scheib remains a low price leader with a commitment to quality body work and paint jobs, starting as low as $159.95.
The store is open Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon.
