Caliber Logistics Wins General Motors Supplier of the Year Award

    HUDSON, Ohio--June 22, 1999--FDX Global Logistics, a part of FDX Corporation , announced that its Caliber Logistics unit has been named by General Motors as a "GM International Supplier of the Year" for 1998.
    Caliber Logistics was the only logistics provider to win the prestigious award. The award recognizes excellence in quality, service, technology and price on a global scale. Suppliers were nominated and evaluated based on a thorough process in 18 different component areas within General Motors.

    "The Caliber program exceeded projected budget and service goals, while delivering significant transportation cost reductions from the very initiation of logistics services for General Motors Powertrain.
