UNIDYNE Announces New President and COO at Dynamatic Unit
    EXTON, Penn., June 21 -- UNIDYNE Corporation
today announced it has promoted David J. Packo to the posts of president and
chief operating officer of its Kenosha, Wis.-based Dynamatic Corporation.
    The Exton, Penn.-based manufacturer of specialty equipment said Packo, 55,
will oversee all facets of operations at Dynamatic, including sales,
marketing, manufacturing, distribution, quality control, business analysis and
strategic planning.  Dynamatic manufactures specialized electric motors and
variable speed drives and controls.  The Kenosha-based unit also manufactures
engine dynamometers and transmission dynamometers for a variety of large
industrial customers, primarily in the automotive, transportation,
manufacturing and processing systems industries.  Packo will report to C.
Eugene Hutcheson, chairman and chief executive officer of UNIDYNE Corporation.
    "Dave has played an important role in restructuring Dynamatic since he
arrived in July of 1998.  His expertise in internal operations has made him a
considerable asset to the company in reaching our goals of cost management and
increased profitability," said Hutcheson.  "Dave's efforts will be critical as
we seek out new market niches and continue to invest in research and
development."
    Packo brings more than 30 years of experience in all areas of operations.
Prior to this promotion, Packo served as the general manager of operations for
Dynamatic.  In that role, he was responsible for manufacturing, assembly,
distribution, quality, sales and customer service.  Previously, Packo served
as director of operations at Accurate Coatings, Dexter Corporation and
Aerotrans Corporation.  He also was employed with ITW Corp. and Dow Chemical
Corporation for a total of 23 years where he held various management
positions.  Packo holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.  He
resides in Lindenhurst, Ill., with his wife, Carol.
    Exton, Penn.-based UNIDYNE Corporation and its subsidiaries manufacture,
sell, service and finance a variety of products, including vehicle emissions
testing systems, specialized electric motors, and variable speed drives and
controls.  UNIDYNE also manufactures engine and chassis dynamometer testing
systems for a variety of large industrial customers, primarily in the
automotive and heavy equipment industries.  The Company employs more than 200
people at facilities in Kenosha, WI; San Francisco, CA; Anaheim, CA; Hazelton,
PA; and Exton, PA.
