New 1999 BMWs Given as Bonus by CEO
WOODCLIFF LAKE, N.J., June 18 -- Over 25 new BMWs were
presented to ARCNET employees in a ceremony held today in the company's
parking lot by their CEO, Al Galdi. The cars were delivered to all employees
who have at least one year of service for use as a company car. Each employee
selected their choice of sedan or coupe from the award winning 1999 3 Series
model range. The company will also pay insurance on all cars.

Galdi chose BMW not only for his love of BMW cars but "for their great
design, high quality engineering and technology, comfort, safety and most
importantly, their exceptional value." All the BMWs were purchased in
December of 1998 at Shrewsbury BMW in NJ and were delivered to the company's
office in Holmdel, NJ where employees and their families were present to
receive their new cars.
Mr. Galdi announced his intentions to provide a BMW for all employees at
the company's Christmas party, where he expressed his "heartfelt gratitude to
all the employees who dedicated themselves to make ARCNET a success for the
last 30 years."
This bonus will create an extra incentive for new employees who join the
company because they will be eligible to get a new BMW of their own after a
year of service. The 1999 3 Series sedans have not only won Automobile
Magazine's All Star Awards from the editors and readers, but also received
numerous awards including Car and Driver's 10 Best earlier this year.
ARCNET, established in 1969, provides architectural, engineering and
planning services and oversees construction for the wireless, microwave, cable
and telecommunications industries. As an innovator in this niche industry,
the company developed and patented the original "Tree" cell tower site, among
many other unique designs that aesthetically blend antennas into surrounding
environment. In 1982, ARCNET was the first telecommunications company to
break away from commercial A&E projects and created the first wireless site on
the East Coast for the AMPS division of AT&T. To date, the company has
completed over 4,000 wireless projects.
BMW of North America, Inc. was established in 1975, when the company
assumed marketing and distribution responsibilities of BMW vehicles in the
U.S. from a private distributor. Since then, the company's North American
operations have grown to include marketing, sales and financial services
organizations in the United States and Canada; a South Carolina manufacturing
operation; a design firm in California; and various other operations
throughout the U.S. and Canada. BMW is represented in North America through a
network of more than 375 automobile and 190 motorcycle retailers in the United
States and Canada. BMW (US) Holding Corp., the marque's North American
headquarters, is located in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey.
