National R.V. Adds 2 Models

National R.V.'s 'Islander' and 'Caribbean' to Join Line-UpPERRIS, Calif. -- National R. V., Inc., a division of National R. V. Holdings, Inc., a manufacturer of high-quality motor homes and fifth wheel travel trailers, announces the upcoming introduction of two new models to its extensive product line-up. The upcoming Islander and Caribbean Class "A" diesel product lines are both scheduled for introduction into the marketplace during the second half of 1999 for model year 2000. The products will be manufactured at National R. V., Inc.'s state-of-the-art facilities in Perris, CA. National R. V., Inc. successfully entered the diesel-powered segment of the market with the introduction of its Tradewinds motor home in 1997. Now, its diesel-powered family is expanding with the planned unveiling of the new Islander and Caribbean motor homes. The Islander is a mid-to-high priced diesel motor home with a 330 horsepower diesel engine and six-speed electronic transmission. The Islander will be built on the DynoMax chassis which is manufactured by National R. V. Holdings, Inc.'s subsidiary Country Coach, Inc. -- manufacturer of the world's finest motorcoaches. Among numerous standard amenities, the Islander features a lounge slide-out, independent front suspension, aluminum wheels and a side-mounted radiator. Country Coach, Inc. has begun chassis production and is expected to make delivery during the third quarter. The Caribbean is slated to be built on a Spartan Summit chassis with a 260 horsepower diesel engine and five-speed electronic transmission. This is a standard width motor home with a full lounge slide-out. The Caribbean is intended to be priced below the existing Tradewinds motor home yet it will contain many of the same standard amenities. The addition of the Islander and Caribbean will enhance National R. V., Inc.'s product offerings within the diesel motor home market segment. It will enable the company to aggressively pursue Class "A" market share by providing competitively priced products to a predetermined market segment.
