Budget Group Announces Cliff Freeman and Partners (NY) as New Creative ShopLISLE, Ill., June 15 -- Budget Rent a Car Corporation, the world's third largest car and truck rental system and a wholly owned subsidiary of Budget Group, Inc. , announced today it has selected New York-based Cliff Freeman and Partners as the new creative advertising agency in charge of its $40-50 million advertising and marketing account. "As the third largest car and truck rental system in the world, we've got a great story to tell and we want dynamite creative to communicate it," stated Mike Gavelek, vice president, Marketing of Budget Rent a Car Corporation. "Last year we made a number of key investments in the company, from our customer loyalty program Perfect Drive to our express service Fastbreak, and we've never been more poised for growth than we are right now. We believe that Cliff Freeman and Partners, the most decorated agency of the year, has just the creative, strategic and brand building prowess to help us get the word out." As the first order of business, Cliff Freeman and Partners will focus on the Budget brand, strengthening our brand personality and linking the creative strategy to Budget's target market. An integrated media campaign is scheduled to launch this fall. Cliff Freeman and Partners' scope of responsibility also includes other Budget Group entities. In conjunction with awarding the new creative account, Chicago-based Starcom, Leo Burnett's media services unit, will now handle media planning in addition to media buying for the account.
