Delphi Names Financial Integration Director
TROY, Mich., June 15 -- Dana Fidler has been named Director,
Financial Integration for Delphi Automotive Systems , effective
June 1, 1999. The announcement was made today by Paul Free, Delphi's chief
accounting officer and controller.
As director of financial integration, Fidler will be responsible for
driving common processes through Delphi's financial organization as well as
sourcing business processes.
"One of the most exciting challenges of our separation from General Motors
is the opportunity that independence provides to establish critical
headquarters functions from the ground up. Starting with a clean sheet of
paper gives us a rare chance to bring in people like Dana to help us build the
framework of a world-class financial staff," said Free.
Fidler joins Delphi from Rubbermaid Inc., where he was Director, Financial
Services of their U.S. based accounting service center. Prior to that, he was
with Martin Marietta and General Electric where he held financial positions at
several of their businesses throughout the U.S. Fidler received a bachelor of
science degree in accounting from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State
University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Fidler and his family have been active in the Wooster, Ohio area Boy
Scouts, the United Methodist Church of Wooster, Wooster High School Band
Parents Organization, and as a host family for a College of Wooster
International Student. The family will be relocating next month to the
Rochester, MI, area.
