Textron Automotive Company Announces Promotion of O'Rourke To Executive Vice President & General Counsel

    TROY, Mich., June 14 -- Textron Automotive Company Inc. today
announced that Michael P. O'Rourke has been promoted to executive vice
president & general counsel.
    O'Rourke, 44, has been with Textron Automotive since 1996, most recently
serving as vice president & general counsel with multi-divisional
responsibility for the overall legal aspects of the organization's operations.
Prior to joining Textron Automotive, O'Rourke held progressively responsible
positions with Johnson Controls, Inc. in Plymouth, Mich.  From 1978 to 1983,
O'Rourke was employed as an associate attorney at Dykema Gossett, a large
Detroit law firm.
    In his new position, O'Rourke will report to Textron Automotive Chairman,
President and Chief Executive Officer Sam Licavoli.
    O'Rourke received both his bachelor's degree in Business and his law
degree from the University of Michigan.
