Delphi Automotive Systems Wins Volkswagen's Top Quality Award
TLAXCALA, Mexico, June 14 -- Delphi Automotive Systems
recently won Volkswagen de Mexico, S.A. de C.V.'s top quality
award, and was the only supplier to win it two consecutive years.
Delphi Packard Electric's Promotora-Arcomex II facility here was among
just 10 of VW-Mexico's 200 suppliers to receive Volkswagen's Formel Q award
for performance in 1998.
"Being recognized by our VW-Mexico customer for two years in a row is an
important achievement. Our performance demonstrates our employees' dedication
and commitment to Excellence," said N. Alison Jones, director, quality
assurance and reliability, North America.
Delphi Packard Electric achieved top-level performance in all of
Volkswagen's standard requirements: quality, delivery, technological
development, responsiveness, cost and product design. Arcomex II produces
wiring harnesses for use in VW-Mexico's new Beetle, classic Beetle, Jetta and
Golf vehicle lines built in Puebla, Mexico.
Arcomex II is one of 13 facilities that make up the Promotora joint
venture between Delphi Packard Electric and Grupo Condumex in Mexico. There
are also Promotora facilities in Brazil and Spain.
