Mercury Cougar Drives New Display at Metreon - A Sony Entertainment CenterIRVINE, Calif., June 10 -- When visitors to Metreon, the new Sony Entertainment Center here, want to find out "the way things work," a new Mercury Cougar will show them the way. Lincoln Mercury's Mercury brand will be the presenting sponsor of The Way Things Work - In Mammoth 3D, one of three fun attractions at Metreon. Mercury will also be Metreon's automotive sponsor when the interactive entertainment center opens later this month. "Sponsorship of Metreon complements Mercury's innovative and expressionist nature," said Laura Flores, Lincoln Mercury merchandising and promotions manager. Guests entering Metreon from the Minna Street Passage will encounter "The Way a Mercury Works" vehicle display. The cog-wheel themed display will feature a Mercury Cougar and three integrated televisions giving patrons an understanding of how a vehicle works and is built. "The Way a Mercury Works" display provides an innovative visual product presence for Mercury. The Way Things Work - In Mammoth 3D is based on the best-selling book by architect and author David Macaulay. Guests can explore new ways of looking at everyday technology with this three-screen, 3-D investigation of mechanics and machinery featuring architect and illustrator David Macaulay -- and a big, woolly mammoth!
