Volvo and Delco-Remy Enter Into Initial Agreement With MicrophonicsNASHVILLE, Tenn., June 8 -- Microphonics (OTC Bulletin Board: MRPS) http://www.microphonics.com is pleased to announce that initial orders of Microphonics 111RCK Industrial Ultrasound Diagnostic unit have been shipped to both Delco-Remy and Volvo Corporation. Shipments were begun immediately upon receipt of initial orders from both companies. After results of testing of these initial units Microphonics will be meeting with the respective companies over the course of the next three weeks to finalize details of a long-term contract. Myles Izikoff, Microphonics National Sales Manager, was quoted as saying, "Our company is looking forward to bringing the increased quality control and efficiencies that the 111RCK Ultraphonics Detector will undoubtedly provide to Delco-Remy and Volvo in their manufacturing process. We anticipate this to be just the beginning of a very long and broad-based relationship." Delco-Remy will be using the 111RCK for enhanced set-up diagnostics and testing, along with predictive plant maintenance. They are the leading supplier of aftermarket and OEM electrical systems and powertrain/drivetrain products. ABOUT MICROPHONICS: Microphonics, Inc. has developed and is currently marketing a high demand, high-tech mechanical ultrasound diagnostic known as the Ultraphonic Detector. This hand-held device is so exact that it can detect a hole half the thickness of a human hair. More practically, it can pinpoint and identify leaks (pressurized, non-pressurized and vacuum), mechanical malfunctions, and certain electrical problems as well. Perhaps the most remarkable benefit is that it warns of impending trouble before a costly malfunction occurs. In addition, with it's proprietary software, the Microphonics ultrasound detection units are uniquely "trained" to ignore ambient sounds of noisy factories or engines and only listen to the "signature" ultrasounds which indicate a potential problem, long before a major breakdown or downtime issue develops. In-house technicians with only a short one-day training session can expertly monitor equipment performance and product quality while reducing maintenance and warranty costs.
