CTS Corporation Names Douglas Rasmussen

CTS Corporation Names Douglas Rasmussen Vice President and General Manager of CTS Reeves Frequency Products

    ELKHART, Ind.--June 7, 1999--Douglas Rasmussen has been named Vice President and General Manager of the CTS Reeves frequency products operations, headquartered in Sandwich, IL., according to an announcement today by George (Bing) Harding, Group Vice President, CTS Corporation.
    According to Harding, "Rasmussen comes to CTS with extensive electronic components industry experience in general management, strategic planning, marketing, sales and business development, and a record of successfully achieving best in class results." He joins CTS from Honeywell Optoelectronics in Richardson, Texas where he held the position of Vice President, General Manager.
    In his new position with CTS, Rasmussen will be responsible for planning, directing and managing CTS' worldwide frequency control manufacturing operations in Sandwich, IL; Carlisle, PA; Singapore, Republic of Singapore; and Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. These facilities produce and sell a broad line of quartz-based crystal, clock oscillator and precision oscillator products for application in the communications equipment, computer equipment, instruments and controls and defense and aerospace markets.
    Mr. Rasmussen is a 1966 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University where he earned a BS degree in Economics. In 1972, he received his MS degree in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University. He began his business career in 1966 as Sales Engineer for General Telephone & Electronics, Belvedere, IL. In 1967, he joined Honeywell, Inc. where he steadily progressed in a number of customer service, sales engineering, and sales and marketing positions. In 1990, Rasmussen was named Director of Sales-Commercial Markets, Micro Switch Division of Honeywell.
    In 1992, he joined HyCal Company as Director of Sales and Marketing where he advanced to Vice President/General Manager. After the acquisition of HyCal by Honeywell in 1996, Mr. Rasmussen was named Vice President of HyCal Sensing Products, a position he held until 1997 when promoted to Vice President of the Optoelectronics Division of Honeywell.
    Mr. and Mrs. Rasmussen will be relocating to the Sandwich, IL area. They have two married daughters.
