Budget Rent A Car Appoints General Manager for Germany
    LISLE, Ill., June 7 -- Budget Rent a Car International, Inc.
has appointed Joachim Walther, 42, as general manager for its corporate
operations in Germany, effective immediately.  Walther's primary objectives
are to establish a head office in Germany, appoint a senior management team
and begin opening Budget locations at major airports, cities and railway
stations.
    Prior to joining Budget, Walther held top management positions with two
prominent German car rental companies.  He started his car rental career with
Hertz in 1985, served as managing director of Autohansa from 1991 to 1995, and
most recently was general manager of Hertz Germany.

keen understanding of business in Germany, make him ideally suited for
establishing a strong foothold for Budget in the German marketplace," stated
