McElroy to Host EnV'99 Blue Ribbon Discussion

ESD The Engineering Society is proud to present John McElroy as the moderator for the Blue Ribbon Question & Answer "Where do we go from here?" discussion that will conclude the annual Environmental and Advanced Technology Vehicles and Alternative Fuels Conference and Exposition (EnV'99) on June 16, 1999. John McElroy, Editorial Director of Blue Sky Productions, brings an extensive background to covering the auto industry. As a journalist, McElroy gained his automotive background through his experiences as Detroit Editor for Road & Track, and as the American Correspondent for World Cars and most recently as the Editorial Director for Automotive Industries. McElroy also hosts Autoline Detroit, a weekly television show, and the daily Nightly Automotive Report - which appear on Detroit's PBS television station. Both shows can be seen on The Auto Channel Internetwork. McElroy has appeared as an automotive expert on ABC World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, CBS News with Dan Rather and NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw. He is often interviewed by CNN, NPR and CBC in Canada. He serves on the board of the Society of Automotive Analysts and the Car of the Century and on the steering committee of the North American Car and Truck of the Year. The mission of EnV'99 is to hold sessions that address the technical, governmental and infrastructural issues facing environmental vehicles today. The conference will feature topics such as Transportation for the 21st Century, Globalization and Policy, Infrastructure, Marketing/Vehicle Overview, Materials and Manufacturing Components and Propulsion. An exhibition, open daily, of advanced components and vehicles will be displayed with suppliers and OEMs describing their ideas and innovations.
