Delphi Names Aftermarket Director
    TROY, Mich., June 4 -- Delphi Automotive Systems (NYSE:DPH)
today announced John M. Petrie has joined the automotive technology company as
director of aftermarket logistics for worldwide operations.  The announcement
was made by Mark C. Lorenz, vice president, production control & logistics and
Frank A. Ordonez, director of aftermarket.

    As director of aftermarket logistics for worldwide operations, Petrie will
be responsible for developing Delphi's logistics plan to manage its global
aftermarket strategy.  "With the development of our aftermarket strategy, the
logistics director will be critical to our success as an independent company.
John will be a valuable member of our management team and a strong resource
for us as we meet our aftermarket targets," said Lorenz.

    Petrie joins Delphi with over 25 years of experience in international
logistics, supply chain development and distribution.  Previously, he was
managing consultant for The Cap Gemini Group.

    Prior to joining The Cap Gemini Group, Petrie was director, supply chain
development for Danka Corporation where he standardized and integrated the
business processes and general infrastructure that related to supply chain
management.  In his career, Petrie has also held the positions of director,
supply chain management, director, international logistics and general
manager, central distribution Asia at Eastman Kodak Company.

    "John brings a wealth of experience from several industries, and his
background in all our regions of the world will be essential to our global
aftermarket execution," said Ordonez.

    Petrie received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Villanova
University and completed post-graduate studies in statistics at the University
of Rochester.
