Country Companies Cut Oregon Auto Rates AgainBLOOMINGTON, Ind., June 1 -- The Country Companies insurance group has reduced auto policy premiums an average of 5.4 percent for Oregon drivers, effective today. Coupled with an average 4.4 percent reduction in December, the Country Companies have cut auto insurance premiums in Oregon an average 9.6 percent during the past six months. Under the latest cut, some Country Companies customers' premiums will decrease more than the average 5.4-percent while others will decrease less than the average. Still others will see no change or an increase in their premium. However, nearly nine out of 10 vehicles will experience a premium decrease. Premium differences result because each customer's rate is based on characteristics specific to them, including where they live, what coverages they have, driver's age, number of vehicles insured and the use of the vehicle. More than 100 Country Companies agents serve clients in the state of Oregon, where the Country Companies is the 11th largest auto insurer.
