WILKINSON ENDS TREMONT'S STREAK, MARK KINSER WINS OUTLAW MAIN

WEST LEBANON, NY- Todd Wilkinson took the victory in the 30-lap modified
feature Monday night, ending Kenny Tremont's stranglehold on victory lane.
Mark Kinser took home the win in the 25-lap World of Outlaw feature.

Rich Ricci Jr and Russ Blair were two early casualties in the 30-lap
modified feature. Ricci had a wheel assembly come off the car and in the
process he collected Blair. Todd Wilkinson was in command of the race from
the drop of the green flag. Brett Hearn dropped out from the race on lap two.
Kenny Tremont was looking for another yet another victory early in the race.
He had charged from his 18th starting spot to seventh by lap six. Eddie
Marshall brought out the yellow flag on lap ten with a left rear flat tire,
but was able to continue after a pit stop. J.R. Heffner also had a strong run
going he jumped from fourth to second on the lap ten restart. Tremont kept
the charge going, taking the third position by lap 13.

The caution came out on lap 13 as Dave Leckonby and Donnie Corellis
made contact in turn one. Corellis spun out and collected Dave Camara in the
process. Leckonby was sent to the rear of the filed for his part in the
incident. Leckonby recovered to finish eleventh in the feature. John Hewitt
is starting to get all the bugs worked out of his new racecar. Hewitt had
another strong top five run and worked his way to fourth by the completion of
the race. Hewitt and Ricci waged a torrid battle for the fourth spot. The two
raced side by side for almost five laps. Hewitt came home the winner of that
battle.

Meanwhile at the front Wilkinson was still in command. Tremont had
worked his way around Heffner for second on lap 14 and set his sights on
Wilkinson. The race for the lead began to shape up on lap 17. Tremont got
along side Wilkinson going down the frontstretch and the two went side by
side into turn one. Contact was made between two and it resulted in Tremont
getting a right rear flat tire and having to go to the pits. Tremont would
return, but only managed to get back up to 13th by the end of the race. The
flat tire effectively ended Tremont's win streak. Eddie Marshall dropped from
the race on lap 19.

Heffner tried to keep up with Wilkinson, to no avail, as Wilkinson
won his second career race at Lebanon Valley. Heffner came home with a strong
second place finish. Guy Sheldon also ended a string of bad luck with a fine
third place run. Hewitt would finish fourth and Mike Ricci rounded out the
top five.

Mark Kinser led every lap of the 25-lap World of Outlaw feature. The
field was stopped twice for red flags. Joe Gaerte flipped his sprinter on its
side at the start of the main event. Once Gaerte's car was righted his was
able to continue after a brief pit stop. The red flew again three laps later
as Steve Kinser flipped his sprinter in turn three. Kinser's car was done for
the night, but Kinser was okay. Stevie Smith was charging early taking over
fourth on lap three. Kevin Gobrecht dropped from the event on lap six as his
car briefly burst into flames.

The leaders would encounter lapped traffic by lap eight. That allowed
the second place car of Sammy Swindell to reel in Kinser. Each time the front
cars got out of traffic Kinser was able to open back up a good lead. Smith
took over third by lap eleven, but was never able to catch the leaders.
Kinser had to deal with heavy lapped traffic again by lap 20. Kinser was able
to make light work of the lapped cars and easily took the victory. This was
Kinser's eight victory of the year on the Outlaw tour and he is the current
point leader on the Outlaw series. Kinser was also the fastest qualifier in
time trial Monday night. Sammy Swindell took home the win in the Channellock
dash event.
