CASCAR Castrol Super Series East - Peterborough Race Results


PETERBOROUGH, ON - Don Thomson Jr. won the C.A.G. Golden Gavel 150 CASCAR
Castrol Super Series East race at Peterborough Speedway on Saturday night.
The Hamilton, ON racer started second in the field of 30 CASCAR Late Models
and made the winning pass on lap 80 of the 150 lap affair. Former CASCAR
champion Kerry Micks was second, followed by Rob Neely. The trio made for a
Chevy - Ford - Dodge podium finish on the high-banked, one-third mile
Peterborough oval. The series' next event is next Saturday (June 5) at
Circuit Ste. Croix, near Quebec City, QC.
	During qualifying for the Golden Gavel 150, heat race victories went to
Neil Fair, Al Long, Bill Rowse Jr. and John Fitzpatrick. Ron VanEvery won
the Final Qualifiers' race.

CALGARY, AB - The Race City 150, originally scheduled for Saturday night at
Calgary's Race City Motorsport Park was postponed by rain. The CASCAR
Castrol Super Series West season opener has been rescheduled for Sunday
afternoon (May 30).
