Discount Auto Parts, Inc. - Don Casey Named Vice President of Purchasing and Inventory Systems

    LAKELAND, Fla.--May 26, 1999--Discount Auto Parts, Inc. today announced Don Casey, 47, has joined the Company as Vice President of Purchasing and Inventory Systems. Casey comes to Discount Auto Parts from Pep Boys where he served as Vice President of Merchandising Systems, and held other managerial positions over his twelve years of employment. In total, Casey has approximately twenty-five years experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.
    Casey will report to Bill Perkins, President and Chief Operating Officer.
    "Don's significant retail experience, coupled with his strong systems background should make him an outstanding addition to our team", said Bill Perkins. "In addition, Don's commercial inventory experience is expected to enhance and facilitate the continuing expansion of our commercial delivery program".
