Delphi Receives Honda Supplier AwardKOKOMO, Ind., May 26 -- Delphi Automotive Systems recently received the Productivity Improvement Award from Honda of America Manufacturing Inc. for security immobilizers built at its Delphi Delco Electronics Systems facility in Reynosa, Mexico. To qualify for this award, a supplier must initiate an activity that results in significant gains in productivity and efficiency. In addition, high quality and delivery standards must be achieved to be eligible. Delphi Delco Electronics improved its circuit board layout to increase productivity and quality to meet first-time efficiency goals. In addition, it increased product capacity to meet additional customer requirements. "This is a significant achievement to receive this special recognition from Honda," said W. Don Helm, general director of Operations for Delphi Delco Electronics Systems. "Our employees have demonstrated that we can excel in meeting the customer's demands of quality, delivery and productivity. The award shows that their efforts are paying off in customer satisfaction." Delphi supplies Honda of America the security immobilizer for the Accord, Odyssey, Acura TL and Acura CL Honda models.
