Isuzu Trooper and Rodeo Win IntelliChoice's Gold Star Lease Award

    CERRITOS, Calif.--(AutomotiveWire)--May 25, 1999--American Isuzu Motors Inc. (AIMI) announced that the Isuzu Trooper and Isuzu Rodeo have been awarded IntelliChoice(R)'s GoldStar for their lease programs.
    Each month, IntelliChoice evaluates the national and major regional leases offered by auto manufacturers. IntelliChoice confers the GoldStar Lease Award on vehicles with the lowest overall interest rates.
    In April, the Isuzu Rodeo S 2WD received a GoldStar because it was well below the average of all the evaluated leases (by 1.25 percentage points). The AIMI program offers the Rodeo S at $209 per month for 48 months with no down payment.
    The Isuzu Trooper S, loaded with automatic transmission, 4WD and CA/NY/MA emissions equipment, won the GoldStar Lease Award because of its low interest rate (5.35 percent). The interest rate was well below the average of all the evaluated leases by 3.14 percentage points. The AIMI program offers the Trooper S for $309 per month for 48 months with no down payment.
    Participating Isuzu dealerships will continue to offer the Rodeo S and Trooper S at the featured payments with no down payment for May and June.
    AIMI's light vehicles are distributed through a network of 549 dealers across the United States.
