Prab Reports Second Quarter Results

    KALAMAZOO, Mich.--May 24, 1999--Prab Inc. reports second quarter sales of $3,596,000 and a net profit of $39,000.
    These results compare with sales of $4,443,000 and a net profit of $317,000 in the same period a year ago.
    The order backlog of $3,672,000 at the end of the second quarter ended April 30, 1999 compares with $2,829,000 at the end of the previous quarter ended Jan. 31, 1999 and $4,732,000 at the end of the second quarter a year ago.
    Prab Inc. designs and manufactures conveyors, metal scrap reclamation systems and bulk material handling equipment. The company sells its products worldwide through a network of factory sales engineers, manufacturers' agents, and distributors.
