OCALA, Fla.--May 24, 1999--Intellon Corporation announces that Bryan R. Carr has joined the Company as Chief Financial Officer.Carr comes to Intellon from The Network Connection, Inc. in Alpharetta, Georgia where he held the positions of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Director. The newly created CFO position at Intellon will facilitate the productization of the Company's leading edge No New Wires(TM) network communication technology. Field-testing has recently been completed on Intellon's 11Mbps Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) power line network communication solutions with silicon being delivered to development partners in 3Q99. Intellon's enhanced OFDM is frequency adaptable, scalable and can be implemented across multiple media with the capability of delivering data rates in excess of 100Mbps.
Carr has over 20 years of experience in developing global strategic financial and market partnerships, implementation of quality, productivity and information technology systems as well as working with the investment capital markets for advanced technology companies.
