Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Appoints New PresidentBRIDGEPORT, N.J., May 21 -- Kazushige Kinoshita will assume the role of president of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America, Inc. (MFTA) beginning July 1, 1999. Mr. Kinoshita replaces Kimio Ohmura, president of MFTA for the past ten years. Through his hard work, Ohmura cultivated the Mitsubishi Fuso business, enabling the company to earn a well-respected reputation in the truck industry. Mr. Ohmura is credited with increasing Mitsubishi Fuso sales, which reached record levels in 1998, and turning the company into the leader in the medium-duty truck industry that it is today. "Mr. Ohmura has been a driving force in this company since he arrived in 1989," said Robert E. McDowell, MFTA senior vice president, operations. "It is his vision and guidance that have enabled us to become a leader in this industry. While we will miss him greatly, we are also looking forward to working with Mr. Kinoshita." With Mitsubishi since 1964, Mr. Kinoshita brings an extensive sales background to MFTA. Most recently, he served as director and vice corporate general manager for the Truck & Bus Business of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC). He has also had a number of overseas appointments including president of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of the Caribbean and general manager of MMC's Overseas Planning Department for North America, Middle East and Africa.
