APCO Honored as One of the Top Public Companies in Georgia
ATLANTA, May 18 -- Automobile Protection Corporation
today announced that the Atlanta Journal-Constitution,
Georgia's largest circulation newspaper, recently released its annual survey
of the State's best performing public companies. The newspaper listed
Automobile Protection Corporation #15 out of the top 100 Companies in Georgia.
The publication based its rankings on four key categories: return on equity,
revenue increase over the previous year, change in profit margin and return on
investment.
As reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Company earned its
ranking by showing a 27.70% increase in year-over-year revenues, a 27.72%
increase in profit margin, a 22.14% return on equity and a 75.7% return on
investment.
Larry Dorfman, President and CEO stated, "We are pleased to be ranked in
the top 100 Companies in Georgia for the 5th year in row. This is an award
that is based on several different financial guidelines, it is earned and that
makes it that more valuable. Plus, when we look at the vast number of
outstanding publicly held companies based in Georgia ranking in the top 25 for
the last three years puts us in some pretty strong company."
APCO, established in 1984, is a leading marketer and administrator of
products and services to automobile and recreational vehicle dealers. The
Company's core business is the marketing and administration of EasyCare(R)
Vehicle Service Contracts. The Company also administers warranty and service
