SDRC Names New Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations

SDRC Names New Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations; Role Will Manage Sales, Services, and Industry Operations in the Americas, Europe, and Asia/Pacific

    CINCINNATI--May 18, 1999--SDRC , a leading global supplier of enterprise product development solutions and developer of I-DEAS(R) and Metaphase(R) Enterprise(TM) software, today announced that William M. Gascoigne has been promoted to senior vice president, worldwide operations for SDRC. Gascoigne will be responsible for all sales, services, and industry operations in the Americas, Europe, and Asia/Pacific. Hans-Kurt Luebberstedt has been promoted to vice president and general manager of Europe, succeeding Gascoigne in this role (reference SDRC press release dated 5/18/99).
    Gascoigne has played a key role in the development of SDRC's European Operations. In 1998, he managed European revenues to a 29% growth, and has been leading SDRC's overall sales and market development efforts for the past several years. Gascoigne has also been instrumental in the development of key account alliances with major industry leaders and in leveraging SDRC ExperTeam(SM) -- the company's engineering and consulting services organization.

    Gascoigne joined SDRC in 1990 as the UK General Manager. His positions at SDRC have included vice president and general manager for Northern Europe; vice president of sales and marketing, Europe; and vice president and general manager, Europe. Prior to SDRC, Gascoigne spent nine years with the Applicon organization where he held several senior management positions, including managing director of the UK; vice president for Europe; and vice president for worldwide marketing. Gascoigne holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
