Shawna Robinson To Qualify For Charlotte ARCA Race

HARRISBURG, N.C. (May 14, 1999) -- Shawna Robinson will substitute for
injured driver David Keith in the Kmart Kids Race Against Drugs Ford in the
May 22 Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series
EasyCare Certified 100 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway at Charlotte.

In her first-ever ARCA race, Robinson finished second in the 1999
season-opener in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Charlotte, N.C., resident has raced
in the NASCAR Busch Series, Grand National Division for five seasons and is
the first woman to win a Busch Series pole position (1994) with a track
record of 174.330 mph at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Robinson’s other NASCAR
accomplishments include:

  a.. 1995 -- Raced a limited schedule in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series.
  b.. 1993 -- Completed a full Busch Series season, finishing 23rd in the
overall point standings with earnings of $71,325.
  c.. 1992 -- Runner-up in the Busch Series "Rookie-of-the-Year" standings
driving a 14-race schedule.
