Auxer Group Announces History-Making Marketing Blitz for Auto Wax Brand
WAYNE, N.J.--May 14, 1999--The Auxer Group, Inc. (OTC BB: AXGI) announced today that it will launch the most concentrated regional marketing blitz in the Company's 35-year history to support its Garry's Royal Satin car polish throughout Puerto Rico. The marketing program will utilize several media, including network television, radio, and newspaper, to promote a promotional offer which introduces the island's 3.9 million consumers to Garry's Royal Satin - a car wax preferred by professional car detailers for over 35 years, and which is now more widely available to the public in Puerto Rico. All advertising will appear in Spanish.
A concentrated schedule of TV, radio, and newspaper advertising will be integrated for maximum effect, with commercials announcing a special offer appearing in El Nuevo Dia, Puerto Rico's largest circulation newspaper.
"We're responding to high demand for the product from consumers and retailers who have heard about it," said Eugene Chiaramonte, Jr., Chairman of Auxer. "The people of Puerto Rico are particularly diligent about caring for their cars, and we believe they will appreciate knowing about the easy-on, easy-off shine you can only get with Garry's Royal Satin. In fact, it takes only 15 minutes to wax the average car. That's a real time saver."
The marketing blitz will begin Sunday, May 16th with several sixty-second commercials running on two NBA playoff games, followed by three straight days of heavy radio advertising. Two radio commercials per hour will air during morning and evening commuter periods across two radio networks, La Zeta and Salsoul, providing island-wide coverage, including the key market of San Juan, Aguadilla, Mayaguez, Ponce, and San German. Radio ads will direct listeners to look for a special rebate offer to appear in the Thursday, May 20 issue of El Nuevo Dia. Thursday is the largest circulation day for the newspaper.
"By integrating and concentrating our promotional message in such a way, we believe we can create a lot of interest and excitement around our product," says Chiaramonte. "We'll be reaching consumers at home, in their cars, and when they're planning their weekend shopping. We're confident this unique combination of promotion and advertising will encourage increased distribution in Puerto Rico and assist our current distribution in selling our products."
Auxer has already signed up a new 40-store distributorship in Puerto Rico on the strength of this advertised promotion.
