Ford 1999 Annual Meeting Voting Results
    DETROIT, May 13 -- A total of 613 persons attended the 44th
annual meeting of Ford Motor Company shareholders today at the
Detroit Opera House.
    Preliminary voting results indicate that a total of 963,007,656 shares of
common stock and 70,800,728 shares of Class B stock were represented at the
annual meeting in person or by proxy.  These shares represent 89.70 percent of
the vote that could be cast.

    Vote on Proposals:

    On proposal 1, each director received at least 1,704,930,549 votes, or
99.067 percent of the votes cast at the meeting.

    Proposal 2.  Relating to the approval of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as
Ford's independent public accountants for 1999.

    Abstain    0.36%

    Proposal 3.  Relating to political non-partisanship.

    For        3.74%
