Raytech's Raybestos Products Company Wins Ford Q-1 Recognition

    SHELTON, Conn.--May 13, 1999-- --Raytech Corporation announces that Raybestos Products Company has received Ford Motor Company's Q-1 Award for quality and product support.
    The Q-1 Award "recognizes supplier facilities and organizations that have achieved a sustained level of excellence in customer satisfaction, while meeting systems and results requirements in quality, engineering, delivery and materials management."
    Raybestos Products Company specializes in the design, development, production and distribution of friction materials and the production and distribution of specialty engineered friction-related products to the automotive and heavy duty markets.
    Raybestos Products Company's design, production and distribution operation recently received certification for QS-9000, the validation of quality performance required to do business with the Big Three automakers.
