Environmental & Safety Programs for Vehicle Maintenance

FINDLAY, Ohio--May 12, 1999--Environmental Development Corp. (EDC) has announced it has completed expansion of its environmental and safety compliance and training program for vehicle maintenance and refueling operations.
The program covers at least three personal levels: environmental/safety managers, facility managers and mechanics, technicians and other shop personnel. The company says the program works for all types of vehicle and heavy-equipment maintenance.

-- The environmental program consists of a 420-page managers'
          guidebook; a 40-page, awareness-training program for
mechanics and technicians with tests; and selected videos.
-- The safety program consists of a 320-page managers'
          guidebook; a 44-page, awareness-training program for
mechanics and technicians with tests; and over 50 videos
          from which to choose.

The training program for mechanics and technicians can be used in a classroom, meeting or self-study mode.
The company says with the deployment of these programs, an organization can increase awareness and EPA and OSHA compliance and employ better management practices, as well as cut costs and exposure to liabilities.
EDC environmental guides have been distributed to nearly 20,000 locations -- including all dealership locations of GM, Toyota, Lexus and Volvo -- as well as many military, postal, city/county/state fleets, and trucking and transport firms.
