PACCAR Names Three New Vice Presidents

    BELLEVUE, Wash.--May 11, 1999--PACCAR Inc today announced the appointment of Mr. Edward B. Caudill, Mr. Nicholas P. Panza and Mr. James G. Cardillo as vice presidents of PACCAR, according to Mark C. Pigott, the company's chairman and chief executive officer.
    They are the senior executives of PACCAR's three major truck companies: Kenworth Truck Company, Peterbilt Motors Company and DAF Trucks N.V. "The promotion of these key individuals reflects their leadership roles in achieving PACCAR's profitable growth through the development of quality products and services," said Pigott.
    Ed Caudill joined PACCAR in 1988. He previously held positions in PACCAR as vice president of purchasing and general manager of PACCAR Parts. Caudill graduated from Wayne State University and received his MBA from Xavier University.
    Nick Panza has been general manager of Peterbilt since 1996. He joined PACCAR in 1981 and has held several management positions at both Peterbilt and PACCAR Leasing. Panza is a graduate of Fordham University and received an M.S. from Stanford University.
    Jim Cardillo was named president of DAF Trucks effective July 1999. He joined PACCAR in 1990 and has held a variety of senior positions at Peterbilt Motors. He is a graduate of Cleveland State University.
    PACCAR, a $7.6 billion company, is a leader in the design, development and manufacture of high quality light-, medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF and Foden nameplates. It also provides financial services and distributes truck parts related to its principal business. In addition, the Bellevue, Washington-based company manufactures industrial winches and sells general automotive parts and accessories through its retail outlets.
