Panasonic Automotive Electronics Company Wins General Motors "Supplier of the Year" Award

    SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--May 10, 1999--

Honor Recognizes Excellence in Quality, Service, Technology and Price

    Panasonic Automotive Electronics Company was recently named a 1998 "Supplier of the Year" award winner by General Motors. The annual awards, which became international in scope in 1992, recognize suppliers who exceed specific performance standards.

Kutner, General Motors vice president and group executive, Worldwide Purchasing and North American Production Control & Logistics. "Of GM's 30,000 suppliers, Panasonic Automotive Electronics Company is one of only 184 that have achieved Supplier of the Year distinction for 1998, an honor accorded to those suppliers who have achieved world-class levels of quality, service, technology and price in support of General Motors."
